In the Christian tradition, contemplative prayer is considered to be a pure gift of God. It is the opening of mind and heart –our whole being—to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words or emotions. Centering Prayer is a wordless and non-conceptual form of prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplation, that is, intimacy and communion with God.
The Saint Patrick Centering Prayer group in English meets at 6:30 pm in the Tower. We do a 30 minute period of Centering Prayer, followed by Lectio Divina. All are welcome. For information you may write to Isabel Castellanos at email@example.com or contact Julie Ugarte in the parish office.
